Established by Ted Van Midde III in July 1991, Van Midde & Son Concrete installs concrete
throughout Marin and Sonoma Counties.
A second generation resident of Marin County, Ted learned the basics of mixing, transporting and installing concrete from his father, who worked 35 years for Shamrock Materials. Prior to opening his own business, Ted III worked 11 years for Carcano and Velcich of San Rafael, a concrete contracting firm, Where he qualified for his Contractor's License. Believing that it is important to give back to one's local community, Ted contributes to Marin County in a variety of ways. As a member of the Marin Builders Exchange, Ted has taken a role of considerable responsibility. He currently occupies the following Board positions for the Exchange: Treasurer of the Builders Exchange, Secretary of the Insurance Trust, Chairman of the Finance Committee and member of the Public Relations Committee. Additionally, Van Midde & Son Concrete maintains a long history of
community service, by assisting local organizations. In
1997, 1998 and 1999,
we were proud to participate in a significant manner in the Roy's Dam / Lagunitas Creek
restoration project. Van Midde and Son has also assisted
