The Van Midde Family has worked in the concrete industry in Marin and Sonoma Counties since the early 1950's. Van Midde and Son Concrete installs concrete in Marin and Sonoma County as well as in the city of San Francisco.

A second Generation resident of Marin County, Ted learned the basics of mixing, transporting and installing concrete from his father, who worked 35 years for Shamrock Materials. Prior to opening his own business, Ted worked 11 years for Carcano and Velcich of San Rafael, a concrete contracting firm, where he qualified for his Contractor's License. Believing that it is important to give back to one's local community, Ted contributes to Marin County in a variety of ways. Ted is a current member of the Marin Builders Association and served as the President, Treasurer, Secretary of the Insurance Trust, Chairman of the Finance Committee and even served as a member of the Public Relations Committee.

Additionally, Van Midde and Son Concrete maintains a long history of community service, by assisting local organizations. In 1997, 1998 and 1999, we were proud to participate in a significant manner in the Roy's Dam / Lagunitas Creek restoration project. Van Midde and Son has also assisted in many other community projects. Van Midde and Son Concrete are experts in the field of installing fine concrete patios, driveways, walkways and stairs. We work closely with many local contractors.

Ted Van Midde, following in his father's footsteps, joined the Lions club International and was the president of the San Geronimo Valley chapter from 2003 to 2004.
